I’ve been using these for two summers for water sports (jetski, beachcats, white water, kayak etc). I like them for the very reason others have shown as a flaw. Sand and gravel float right out with a foot dip in the water. Synthetic material ideal for aquatic environment. Good grip, arch and lateral support. Dries fast. Highly recommended!
Customer Review: nice ventilation, but….
Got a pair of these recently. I went up a half size to 10 since it does not come in 9.5. Fits nicely and with the extra room I will be able to wear them with socks in the fall. They would not be good for hiking on trails other than compacted dirt, objects easily enter the footbed. Forget about wearing them in the water. On deck would be fine. Nicely ventilated, keeps the foot cool. Comfortable, but they do need some breaking in. Just as good as Keens or Mions. I have worn both of those as well. Price is very reasonable.
